Well not really a contest, but more like a giveaway, cause I have got to be the stupidest Amazon Shopper in the world! I bought myself two of these :
I thought I was being all smart using the one click shopping, until I was sent two invoices for the same book! Anyways, rather than cry about it, I will share the love, so I will randomly choose one person to win this lovely book. All comments left before 11pm EST Thursday March 22 will be entered into the draw.
I've also got lots to tell you about my trip, but I'm painting my bathroom at the moment, and was just stopping for a quick break. More tommorrow!

lol...Been there, done that. Most of the time my mom is the one who benefits from my mess ups. :)
LOL...I can never remember when I pre-order something. I usually get so hyped up about reading about a new book on the blogs that I end up buying another....then the original one comes in and I walk into the LYS and donate it to a knitter in need. They think I'm super nice...I never had the heart to tell them I'm just that forgetful. :)
I have enjoyed reading your blog today. I have never ordered anything from Amazon - being a SAHM cash is a bit tight sometimes so I borrow most books from the library (leaves more cash for yarn!!!).
Having recently purchased a duplicate book (albeit not on amazon), I feel your pain!
I'll mention your contest on my blog tomorrow, if you don't mind!
All right, all right, no need to twist my arm off to participate in another contest! : ) Came over from Chris's blog... So this is a first time read for me. Will be adding you to my bloglines!
I do that all the time, but luckily I sell it or return it.
Yeah, been there done that. Your decision to share will bring such good knitting karma your way, and bring new readers your way too. Not too shabby!
I have done that too! It's an Amazon conspiracy :)
Hey, you can always blame the computer. Don't take the fall for the mistake!
I always worry about ordering yarn twice from websites. It's the 'submit'--- nothing happens, so you hit it again action. Argh!
Well, at least it's a lovely book! :)
I always do that with magazines. People at my guild love me as I usually have extras to hand out!
Doh! I have ordered a book that hubby also ordered for me, so it's pretty much the same. Thanks for sharing the love!
I've done that before! Thanks for the contest.
Thanks for sharing with a giveaway! It looks like an interesting book.
(runs to check yesterday's Amazon order)... Phew :)
Lucky for us though - you kind thing!
I too, stumbled over from Chris' site.
I found the first one at my library's 'friends' shop. gorgeous stuff in them!
I don't think I've bought a book twice. other stuff I have though!
I have bought two of the same book, just not at the same time :)
Oh my gosh! That's a book I don't own yet! How the heck did I miss that one? LOL!!
I've never had a positive experience with Amazon. And I've tried repeatedly.
PS. Love your banner. It's adorable!
This is my first time to your blog. I love the header! After reading your post, I had to comment because I cannot pass up a contest, especially when it involves knitting!
Found your blog through Chris posting about your contest. Love your header! I collect antique holiday postcards (Santa puts some in my stocking every Christmas), and it reminds me of those.
I don't use 1-click ordering for fearing doing what you did.
I stumbled over from Chris' site... but will be back. I've done the same thing and passed on the book to a friend. Thanks for the sharing the love.
I have purchased multiple books before. What's even worse, my husband recieved 3 copies of the same book for christmas last year. My mother, my younger brother-in-law, and I all bought him the same book. Lesson learned? Communication!
this is so generous of you! and so exciting for us. I've bought two copies of the same book before, but never on purpose!
ooh, that book looks great! it's nice of you to give it away!
p.s. found your blog via chris's blog. :)
Hi, I came from the comments on Harlot. First time here, I like it I'll come back. Anyway once my two year old one clicked a book for me. Turned out to be a good book and I glommed everything the author wrote. One click can be good ;).
I've pulled that stunt several times, just not with books. I have bought a book years later after reading it, forgetting that I read it, thought it sounded good when reading the back and buying it only to find once I start reading it that I already read it.
And I found you through Chris' blog too. :)
I love your header! Too cute! I hope your bathroom came out like you hoped, sometimes the smallest rooms are the hardest.
Does ordering something and then going out and buying it count too? Cuz I'm guilty of that, for sure!
(Came through Chris' blog, by the way.)
Yeah, that's one of the reasons that I've never turned that one-click shopping option on at Amazon . . . besides, I LIKE using my shopping cart! Good luck with your contest!
Sounds like the one-click shopping is not such a great idea. I tend to do this sort of thing with classics at thrift stores (at least I think that's how I ended up with three copies of Macbeth).
I never use the one click shopping on Amazon just for that reason. I love it when you are getting ready to check out and they suggest other books you might be interest in. I've never been interested in a single one but they keep on suggesting.
It's so nice that you are giving the book away! And it's nice to find another Canadian knitting blog.
doh! Your header is super cute :)
I do that with DVDs and CDs. I bought UHF twice (because the second time I couldn't imagine ever having bought it) and almost with Sweet Baby James by James Taylor (I have a soft spot for him, and the beau had to remind me that I already had it). I get so excited about things that I really want, and I desire them for so long, and then when I finally have them I still desire them. Go Figure.
It's my birthday tomorrow!!!
Hooray for contests! I never really expect to win, but it's good way to get out and explaote the blogosphere. And hey, you're Canadian too! Very cool.
I never expect to win either - and it not yet happened to me that I got two books from Amazon - are you sure that it wasn't their mistake?
